Are you a first-time hosteller and feeling lonely? Here are five helpful tips.

Are you a first-time hosteller and feeling lonely? Here are five helpful tips.

First of all, congratulations that you are selected for a professional college🎉! This in itself is a huge achievement. All the sweat, blood, and tears of two years has yielded fruitful results. But this ain’t the end of hard work! It’s just the beginning. So cheer up😊and gear up🦾 for the upcoming four years.

It is very common to experience loneliness in the first few months of stay at a hostel. Remember these five P’s to overcome loneliness in a hostel. Here are a few tips to help you overcome this:

1.    Peers: Identify students whose interests match yours and also students who are serious about studies and befriend them. Avoid discussing private matters with them since they will spread all the information you give them throughout the college.

2.     Parents connection: 📞Call and video call your parents regularly and pour your heart💗 out to them. Tell them about what you are feeling like and all the thoughts and emotions you are going through. This will ease your burden. Your parents will help, guide and motivate you. Also, 🏠visit your parents often (if your house is in the same city as the hostel). Make it a point to visit your parents every weekend🚍. This will give you a change from a strenuous study environment to a less stressful environment.

3.     Pranayam, meditation🧘‍♀️: Brahamari pranayama is very useful for relieving stress and strain (not the physics one). Anulom- vilom opens up the veins. This balances your body. Brahmari, Anulom- vilom can be done by anyone at any time. Ensure to include at least these two pranayams in your daily regime.

4.     Pursue your hobby🎸🎹🎼📸🎨 : By practicing your hobby, you will get peace of mind, which will boost your overall performance in tests.

5.   Physical activity⚽🏸🎾🏏🏑🏀: Based on your sports of interest, create a group and play sports regularly with them. This will keep your physical fitness in check.  “All study and no play makes Tom a dull boy.”

Follow the five P's and beat the loneliness problem. You can do this. Be confident , Be optimistic.

10 practices for a successful social life

These are 10 practices that can be helpful in personal and professional interactions and improve your social stature:

Smile on the face - A genuine smile can have a positive impact on others and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It can help to build rapport and establish connections with people.

Diplomacy in behavior - Being diplomatic in your interactions means being tactful and respectful in your responses. It involves acknowledging others' perspectives and opinions, even if you don't fully agree with them. It promotes open communication and can prevent unnecessary conflicts.

Be real and genuine - Admitting when you don't know something or acknowledging that you are not aware of a particular topic shows humility and a willingness to learn. It also encourages others to share their knowledge and insights.

Listening skills - Actively listening to others is an essential skill in effective communication. It involves giving your full attention, being present in the conversation, and demonstrating genuine interest in what the other person is saying. Listening attentively can help you understand others better and foster stronger relationships.

Speaking less and observing more - When entering a new environment, it's often beneficial to take a step back and observe before actively participating. By observing and learning from others, you can gain valuable insights and adapt to the culture and dynamics of the situation.

Giving your input positively - While it's important to provide constructive feedback when necessary, it's equally essential to deliver it in a positive and supportive manner. Focus on highlighting strengths and offering suggestions for improvement rather than simply pointing out flaws.

Patience - Patience is a virtue that can help in various aspects of life. It allows you to maintain composure in challenging situations, handle conflicts calmly, and give others the time and space they need to express themselves. Patience can lead to better understanding and resolution of issues.

Cooperation - Being cooperative and willing to lend a helping hand fosters collaboration and teamwork. It creates a positive environment and encourages others to reciprocate, leading to the development of strong relationships and mutual support.

Respond, do not react - Instead of reacting impulsively, take a moment to think before responding to a situation. Reacting often involves emotional outbursts and can lead to unnecessary conflicts. Responding, on the other hand, involves thoughtful consideration and a measured approach.

Mind your own business - Focusing on your own responsibilities and avoiding unnecessary gossip or meddling in others' affairs can help maintain professionalism and build trust. Concentrate on your work, strive for excellence, and avoid distractions that may hinder your progress.

By incorporating these practices into your interactions, you can promote positive relationships, effective communication, and personal growth.

Must read for successful retail property deals in Hyderabad

 Property in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is a city that has seen significant growth and development in recent years, particularly in the IT, pharmaceutical, and aeronautical industries. The credit for this progress can be attributed to the efforts of respected leaders such as Chief Minister Mr. KCR and Mr. KTR, who have fostered connections with US clients and other foreign stakeholders, thereby attracting investment and laying a solid foundation for the city's development.

The city's development extends to various sectors, including transportation with the introduction of the metro, the construction of Outer Ring Road (ORR) for improved connectivity, the establishment of flyovers, the promotion of sports, and advancements in the education sector. This overall progress has created numerous job opportunities not only for the people of Telangana but also for individuals from other parts of India.

Hyderabad also embraces its cultural heritage and promotes traditional crafts and handlooms. Shilparamam, a popular destination, regularly invites artisans from across India to showcase their skills and promote traditional art forms.

The city's infrastructure is notable for its world-class buildings constructed using the latest technology. Areas like New City, Kokapet, and the Financial District boast buildings and office spaces with standards comparable to global amenities.

Due to the abundant opportunities available, Hyderabad has become a hub for individuals seeking livelihoods, attracting people not only from various parts of India but also from different corners of the world. The city's reputation as the "city of pearls" adds to its allure, reflecting its historical significance and cultural richness.

Overall, Hyderabad's remarkable growth and development in the past decade have transformed it into a desirable destination for career opportunities and a cosmopolitan lifestyle.

Top of Form

As more people are coming to the city of dreams, they require accommodation. As they say, necessity is the mother of invention, so many large real estate developers have bought the land and constructed apartments and societies for people and have provided world-class amenities. The name amongst them on the top is – My Home, which has built large societies like – My Home Avatar, My Home Vihanga, My Home Aabhra, and the list goes on. Another very well-known builder is Aparna which has set up its empire in Nallagandla and offered remarkable living spaces to the people under the names - Cyber Zone, Aparna Sarovar, Aparna Cyber Community, and so on. Similarly, other renowned builders are Ramky and Aurobindo who are again adding value to the city with beautiful, impressive layouts and setting up high-tech amenities in the new Hyderabad.

Though there is a remarkable improvement in the standard of living, people are earning five or six figures yet the cost of a 2 BHK apartment and three BHK apartment is in crores, which again is a lifetime EMI for a middle-class person who has children to educate and parents to take care of. If people get financial help from parents then it is fine but if a person has to manage all by himself then he will have to take a loan from a bank and then pay EMIs for ten to twenty years.

Buying a home is not an easy decision so some people prefer to live on rent. But again the rental value of the property nearby Microsoft, Wipro, Amazon, and other reputed companies on ISB Road is shooting up and touching the stars with the skyrocketing prices.

Investing at an early age by planning and organizing funds is a must for youngsters. At the age of 22 -23, a young man/woman starts working. 25 – 26 years is the right age for marriage. Then children – then the education of children – then taking care of everyday needs – then taking care of old parents. Eventually, these duties pile up with the growing age and the passage of time. Youngsters have to plan and take proper decisions on these matters. Sometimes the youth of today debate the age of marriage and having kids. But then these days there are many issues of compatibility in marriage then complications in other matters in life. These are the personal decisions of an individual which if checked will lead to many debatable topics.

Here the main agenda is buying a suitable property in a developing city like Hyderabad that seems like solving a maze as there are many options available.

Want to know what a dairy farm looks and feels like? Read to experience a dairy farm

  Visit to a dairy farm

Greetings!

Today, I am going to tell you all about my visit to a dairy farm. When we are told the word ‘farm’: we picture a Brobdingnagian green expanse, adorned by flowers and fruits, inhabited by herds of cows, buffaloes, and sheep: the green grass swaying in the cool breeze. The word ‘dairy farm’ has a completely different meaning. A dairy farm is a place where the milk shipped from another location is purified and converted into various dairy products.

This might have given you the idea that a dairy farm is like a factory full of machines and folk who operate those machines. In dairy farms, the process of manufacturing is: Raw milk à Quality assessment à Sampling à Temperature control à  Pasteurisation à Heat treatment à Homogenization and mixing à Fermentation, and, culturing à Processing dairy products.

In the dairy farm I visited, they manufactured milk, ice cream, curd, flavored milk, lassi, and cottage cheese- our all time favorite. They offered us a bottle of flavored milk and a 50 ml ice cream cup. Let’s explore a few of the processes recorded live by me:

Tips on how to turn deaf ear to criticism for peaceful life

Tips on how to turn deaf ear to criticism for peaceful life

Handling criticism deftly is a skill that few possess and many try to incorporate into their personality. It requires a strong-minded and mature individual to handle criticism in such a manner that it positively impacts the person’s overall development. We all face criticism from cradle to crematorium. This makes it quintessential for us to learn how to properly face and respond to criticism.

When someone criticizes you, these are the several ways you might respond: be angry, start crying helplessly, start counter-criticizing the person who criticized you, become demotivated to proceed with the task at hand further, or take it as positive feedback and try to improve on it, promising that you won’t repeat the mistake. The last option is the ideal one, which would be expected at your workplace and your home especially. The solution is simple-  don’t react like fluorine. Take a deep breath and think of the reason why you were criticized and try to improve yourself. You need to understand that if there were no real reasons for being criticized, you are being trolled. Ensure that you try to avoid people of this kind. If your higher-ups at the workplace are trolling you, then you need to resign and join a new organization because trust me trolling can take a toll on your mental health. This is from my personal experience.

People criticize you for two reasons: they want you to improve or they want to demoralize you. Understanding the standpoint from which you are being criticized is essential. If someone wants to see an improved version of you, then engage in dialogue with her/him and take the feedback positively because this is what they want. If you dislike their tone, you can clarify that and I am sure that they will change their way of speaking to you since they are your well-wishers. The other group of people who want to demotivate you are the ones who you need to turn a deaf ear to. It might be bullies at school and college, your mother-in-law (if you are a woman), trolls on social media, or your boss at work,……………. This list doesn’t end. Just ignore them and complain to higher authorities if possible.

Summing up, convert criticism into positive feedback in your head, and then there is no one stopping you from succeeding and reaching new heights. Don’t react aggressively. We aren’t halogens or alkali metals. Try to be like a noble gas, as cool as a cucumber.
