Mary Kom
As a woman my priority
remains the same as many married women of my country, that once kids
are born a woman is all busy with the daily chores...caring for kids
,cooking food, feeding kids, helping in homework, making them sleep,
telling stories and so on.
But, look at Mary Kom. She
has brought in a drastic change in the mindsets of many married
women. Slowly and steadily the change will permeate in the mind of
women.
Mary Kom is such a strong
lady with twins, and still she has made Indian fraternity proud by
winning a medal in Olympics. The feeling that if Mary Kom can do, we
too can, has rekindled in minds and overnight she has become idol of
not one but many. She demonstrates a deep commitment towards her
goal, apart from all house hold responsibilities. We appreciate and
nurture the role she plays. She has excelled in a sports which is
considered the primary domain of the males. She has been a World
champion winning 5 times, and she got the opportunity to represent
India in Olympics as this game got introduced to this world sporting
meet.
We should hail this iron
lady and take inspiration from her that even after marriage and
parenthood she attained recognition and brought India laurels. We bow
to you Mary Kom!
